Sitting at 8,300 feet high, The Waterfall Lodge is a vacation lodge and event venue nestled in the Lincoln national forest, 6 miles outside of cloudcroft, New Mexico. At The Waterfall Lodge, we've worked hard to ensure that when you visit, you'll be fully immersed in all the natural beauty and wildlife that the Lincoln National Forest has to offer without losing the warmth and comfort of your own home.

More than just a vacation rental.

The Waterfall Lodge is more than just a vacation home – it's an experience, and any good experience comes with amenities for its guests. When we took on The Waterfall Lodge, we wanted to be sure that our guests could fully immerse themselves in all we had to offer. Below are just a few of the amenities you have to look forward to when visiting The Waterfall Lodge .

 

Fishing

Trout fishing in natural spring ponds

During our warmer seasons, guests staying at The Waterfall Lodge can enjoy fishing for rainbow trout in our crystal clear ponds. And although we are mainly a catch-and-release facility,  each fishing guest can purchase a caught fish that is over 12 inches long for a small fee.

although she’s more of a *byob* kinda bar for our guests to enjoy, our large, covered outdoor porch is a notorious spot for our guests to chill out and have some fun. using our included bbq pits and grills, guests can enjoy the day with friends and family grilling, watching the game on our bar tv, or playing one of our several outdoor lawn games. a bose surround sound system to play music, large outdoor projector for movie/fight nights and plenty of seating makes this spot a perfect place for entertaining.

 
 

Library and dining room

open all year to our guests, our library can be a peaceful and quiet space for a cup of tea and a good book, or a romantic space for a large indoor dining experience. included board games, record player for some classic music and comfortable seating make it a spectacular indoor area for you and your family to gather.

Cloudcroft, NM.

 

Sitting at 8,600 feet high in elevation and just 6 miles from The Waterfall Lodge, this 110 year old village is hard to ignore when visiting us. With great food, one-of-a-kind shops and friendly faces, the Burro Street Boardwalk in downtown Cloudcroft is the perfect place for an afternoon stroll with your friends and family. White Sands national monument

Just a short 45 minutes from The Waterfall Lodge, the White Sands National Monument and its glistening white dunes are one of the world's great wonders. At 275 square miles, the WSNM is the worlds largest gypsum dune field. Pack yourself a picnic, grab your sleds and some sunscreen and head over to this absolute must see when visiting us!

If your looking to take a break from the quiet forest and make some noise while winning big, Inn Of The Mountain Gods is the place to be! This buzzy casino offers slot machines, table games and a poker room, as well as a comedy club and live entertainment. Food, Fun and games a short 45 minute drive from The Waterfall Lodge... can you say "Cha-Ching"!?

alameda park zoo

Founded in 1898, the Alameda Park Zoo is located in Alamogordo, New Mexico and is the oldest zoo in the southwestern United States. This Little gem (roughly 12 acres small) is home to over 200 exotic and indigenous animals that will be sure to keep visitors mezmerized. Perfect place for an afternoon family picnic!

Located in Lincoln County, New Mexico, Ski Apache is the country's southernmost ski area. The Slopes offer a mix of wide beginner slopes, tough bump runs, a huge bowl, nice cruising runs and a terrain park with jumps, tubes and rails. If your visiting us during our colder seasons, Ski apache is a must!

The Historic Old Apple Barn was built in 1941 in mountain Park, New Mexico. Today you can take a walk back in time and experience their Vintage Emporium, Fudge factory and Bistro. A great place to stop on your way to or from The Waterfall Lodge!
